Joining APSA

Introduction

MTS who are non-supervisory MTS level I, II, and III, are officially part of the bargaining unit APSA represents. You are part of this bargining unit as soon as you are hired. However, to be an official, supporting member of APSA and a part of the bargaining unit, you must become a member of APSA.

Levels of Membership

There are two levels of membership in APSA. You can become a Full Member which provides full voting rights on contracts, as well as the ability to run for openings on the APSA board. Associate membership allows those who are not MTS (Managers or Staff) to join who support APSA. In addition, as an Associate Member, you will receive bulletins and other important literature APSA releases. We can't officially represent those non-MTS who are Associate members, but our doors for helping individuals as best we can are always open. Either membership path shows support for APSA's goals.

Cost of Membership

APSA keeps membership dues very low by requiring that all officers work on a volunteer basis. That way you know that every penny that is used by APSA goes to assist employees in a multitude of ways. Dues pay the costs of the following types of expenses:

  • Legal expenses for interactions with the company
  • Legal costs for consultations with employees needing some assitance
  • Printing bulletins to keep the bargaining unit up to date on current issues and meetings
  • Costs of Pizza and sodas for meetings
  • Cost to send representatives to CESO meetings in Washington D.C.
  • etc.

Dues for Full Membership are $169.00 per year. You can choose to be billed quarterly, semi-annually or annually

Dues for Associate Membership are $58.50 per year. You can be billed annually or semi-annually
